วาล์วควบคุมทิศทาง (Directional Control Valve) มีชื่อเรียกอีกอย่างว่าโซลินอยด์วาล์ว จะมีหน้าที่ในการควบคุมอุปกรณ์ต่างๆให้เคลื่อนที่ไปในทิศทางที่ต้องการ เช่น ควบคุมการเคลื่อนที่เข้า-ออกของก้านกระบอกลมหรือควบคุมให้ก้านกระบอกลมค้างตำแหน่งการทำงานใช้หลักการควบคุมการเปิด - ปิด ลมอัดจากรูหนึ่งไปยังรูลมอีกรูหนึ่งโดยที่โซลินอยด์วาล์วนั้นจะทำงานก็ต่อเมื่อมีการจ่ายกระแสไฟฟ้าเพื่อสั่งให้ทำงาน
